Prerequisites to Enroll

Associate Degree Programs
A student must verify evidence of graduation from high school or evidence of completion of a General Education Development (GED) test.

Bachelor’s Degree Programs
A student must verify evidence of graduation from high school or evidence of completion of a General Education Development (GED) test.

Master’s Degree Programs
A student must complete all requirements of the Bachelor of Biblical Studies (or its equivalent). Secular bachelor’s degrees do not qualify, but some credits may transfer.

Doctorate Degree Programs
A student must hold a master’s degree in a Biblical field such as Christian Education, Biblical Studies, Theology, Ministry, Divinity, etc. Secular master’s degrees do not qualify, but some credits may transfer.

 

Course Credit Transfers/Advanced Standing

If a student has completed prior college work that is equivalent to a comparable course, it may be permissible to transfer credit hours into a degree program.

Transfer Requirements:

  • Courses transferred into any degree program must have a grade of C or better.
  • Courses transferred must be comparable to the courses in the degree program to which you are applying.
  • Only credits earned prior to enrollment will be considered for transfer. Any courses taken at other institutions, seminars, workshops, retreats, church training, etc., while a student is enrolled will not be evaluated for transfer credit.
  • Upon enrollment by evaluation of application and resume, a student must mail transcripts to Omega Bible Institute & Seminary within 30 to 90 days. Each request for transfer is reviewed by an academic committee.
  • Courses being transferred must come from approved or recognized institutions.

 

 

Denial of Admittance

Omega Bible Institute & Seminary has the right to deny admittance to any applicant based on the following:

  • A history of violent and/or abusive behavior
  • Mental instability
  • False statements on application
  • Other reasons or conditions not listed above

 

 

Evaluation

In order to receive a quick evaluation of your education, submit an application here. Omega Bible Institute & Seminary will respond within 48 hours (except for weekends and holidays). If we do not acknowledge receipt of your application within 48 hours, this means your application was not received.

 

Coursework

All coursework submitted for degree studies become the property of Omega Bible Institute & Seminary. Coursework will not be returned, so you must save a copy for your own records.

 

Course Substitution

Omega reserves the right to substitute any course at any time for any reason.

 

Course Delinquencies

It is the student’s responsibility to notify Omega Bible Institute & Seminary when additional time is needed to complete a course. Students are allowed two extensions per course. If a course is submitted within 30 days after the date of the second extension due date the student will receive an automatic grade point deduction.

 

Expulsion Policy

Omega Bible Institute & Seminary has the right to expel any student for the following reasons:

  • Violent and/or abusive conduct directed toward Omega faculty or staff
  • Immoral conduct unbecoming of a Christian
  • Repeatedly displaying an obstinate attitude (e.g., not able to be taught)
  • Mental instability
  • Other reasons or conditions not listed above

 

Late Fees

Students electing to pay for their coursework on a monthly basis will be charged a late fee if the tuition payment is not received by the 14th day of the month. This institution reserves the right to charge a $25.00 fee for NSF checks.

 

Refund Policy

It is the student’s responsibility to notify Omega Bible Institute & Seminary in writing when officially withdrawing from a degree program. To receive a full refund, a student must withdraw within 30 days of the date of enrollment. A 50% refund will be given if a student withdraws within 30-60 days of the date of enrollment. No refunds are given after 60 days. Any materials in the possession of a student must be returned to Omega Bible Institute & Seminary before a refund will be given.

 

Textbooks

Omega Bible Institute & Seminary provides textbooks for students who reside in the United States. Students residing outside the US are responsible for purchasing their own textbooks. A textbook list will be provided upon enrollment.

 

Degree Program Deadlines

If a student fails to complete his/her degree by the degree program deadline, a $150.00 fee will be charged to extend the program deadline for one year.

  • Certificate Program: 8-12 months
  • Diploma Program: 12-18 months
  • Associate Degree: 2 years
  • Bachelor’s Degree: 4 years
  • Master’s Degree: 3 years
  • Doctorate Degree 4 years
  • Ph.D. Degree: 5 years

The above deadlines may be decreased depending on the number of credits awarded upon enrollment in the degree program.
